Convergence in a Crowded Coffee House

Before celestial explosions
assigned planets to their orbits
And earth foundations were laid
and waters and firmament separated

Before their assigned ancestors
sojourned on islands and continents
On trails and ships and flying machines
to seek fortune and dreams and destinies

Their fingerprints were etched
and every hair counted
Their souls forged and blessed and stored
until wakened by the Divine Breath

And when it was their time
to suckle and crawl and grow
Their paths were charted
Inexorably towards each other

Till the day their souls resonated
with wonder and discovery and love
Till they shared provision and smiles
and plans for hope and a future

Then they gathered their families
to behold and celebrate and witness
a covenant of the Ancient of Days
in a small room in a crowded coffee house.
